She has more than 11 years of experience in the classroom and nearly a decade experience as an instructional coach. Angela created this site when she was a teacher in school at the time in 2003. She was looking to offer useful classroom tips and encourage teachers to take on a more positive outlook so that they could be more content in their work. The Cornerstone for Teachers was initially titled Ms. Powell's Managemental Ideas for Teachers. It was not until 2008 when it adopted the title of Ms. Powell's book. Angela's professional development about productivity is used in more than 45,000 schools as part of the 40 Hour Workweek program. It was originally designed for teachers, 40 Hour was later broadened in order to encompass instructional coaches as well as administrative personnel. This helps teachers become more focused on their contracts for teaching and time so that they are able to focus on the things that matter.
